Privacy Policy – Parta Research

This Privacy Policy applies to the Parta Research application, part of the Parta Apps ecosystem.

Parta Research is a professional research and collaboration platform currently released in open beta. Features, data flows, and integrations may evolve over time.

Parta Research ("the App") is developed and maintained by æ Aeonian Engineering Limited (Hong Kong) and WIDE di D. Papa (Italy).

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled within the App, based on principles of necessity, minimization, and user control.

2. Parta Identity – No Account Required

Parta Research uses Parta Identity, a cryptographic identification system that does not require email, phone number, or any external account.

How it works:

When you first open the App, a unique cryptographic identity is generated on your device
This identity is stored locally on your device only
No password is required – your device IS your authentication
We cannot access, recover, or reset your identity

⚠️ Data Oblivion Notice:
If you clear app data or uninstall the App, your identity is permanently deleted. This is intentional – it's a privacy feature. We cannot recover your identity or profile.

Credits: Never expire, but are tied to your identity – lost if identity is deleted.
Subscriptions: Tied to Google Play account – will be automatically restored to a new identity.

3. User-Generated Content and Responsibility

Users may publish research posts, job offers, collaboration requests, or similar content.

Each user is solely responsible for the content they publish, including any request for additional information.

Information exchanged outside the App is not controlled, verified, or stored by us.

4. Safety Notice and External Contacts

The App may facilitate contact between users but does not mediate off-platform communications.

Users should verify contacts and exercise caution before sharing personal or sensitive information.

We are not responsible for interactions or agreements occurring outside the App.

5. Data Collection

The App collects only data strictly necessary to operate the platform and ensure security.

Cryptographic identity tokens (stored on your device)
Profile information voluntarily provided by you
Content you publish (posts, messages, connection requests)
Technical logs for security and abuse prevention (anonymized)

We do NOT collect:

Email addresses (not required)
Phone numbers (not required)
Location data (unless explicitly shared in your profile)
Contacts from your device

6. Advertising, Consent, and Advertising ID

The App may display advertising provided by third-party services such as Google AdMob, in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

Advertising identifiers may be used by Google to serve and measure ads.

We do not access or link advertising identifiers to your identity or user-generated content.

7. Age Requirement

Parta Research is intended for adults only (18+). The App is designed for professional, academic, and research-oriented use. Minors are not permitted to use the App.

8. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob – advertising (free tier)
Google Play Billing – subscriptions and purchases
Parta Identity – cryptographic authentication

9. Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

Instant deletion: Clear app data or uninstall to permanently delete your identity
Server cleanup: Orphaned data is removed within 30 days
No recovery: This is by design – your privacy is in your hands

10. Data Protection and Your Rights

Users subject to data protection laws (GDPR, etc.) may exercise their rights by contacting us. However, note that:

We cannot identify you without your cryptographic identity
Most data is stored on your device, not our servers
You can delete your data yourself, instantly
